SKILLED CARE / REHABILITATION

A Medicare Certified Program, Durgin Pines is a bridge back to health and independence
Working proactively with each person and their family members, we will design a plan to maximize both self-motivation and functional independence. By combining the skills of certified therapists and physicians with an attentive nursing staff, we work to assure that each person will make the most complete recovery possible.
Outdoor Rehabilitation Program
Durgin Pines is proud to have constructed an innovative real-life outdoor rehabilitation program. This comprehensive system mimics the primary surfaces and motion activities required in most people's daily outdoor routines. Ground treatments include sand, cobblestone, brick and concrete. Mobility rehabilitation utilizes parallel bars, ramps and stairs.
A first of its kind in Maine, this coordinated approach works to fully prepare patients for both indoor and outdoor daily living upon returning home.
And also to ease the return home, we connect patients with a complete network of community resources and support services. We can arrange for a comprehensive home evaluation and provide practical suggestions for creating a comfortable, easy-to-navigate environment.
Preferred Status Admission to Long Term Care
Upon request, we can arrange for a preferred status admission for our patients to long term care services here at Durgin Pines or at any of our long term care sister facilities which are conveniently located in Maine at: Sentry Hill, in York, Gorham House in Gorham and Clover Manor in Auburn.
